Get Involved
Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Whether you're an individual looking to give back, a group planning a community service day, or a company organizing an employee engagement event, we'd love to hear from you.
Opportunities range from one-time projects to ongoing volunteer roles, depending on your interests, skills, and availability. Some volunteers help with sorting donations, administrative support, or special events, while others take on leadership roles by teaching classes, assisting with outreach, or coordinating community programs.
As a small nonprofit, we may not have volunteer openings available year-round, and our needs change as our programs evolve. Our team often wears many hats, so volunteers who are adaptable, resourceful, and enjoy a fast-paced environment tend to thrive. If you're looking for a hands-on opportunity where you can make a meaningful impact, we'd love to connect with you.

Individual
Whether you can volunteer (14+ years old) for a single day or throughout the year, every helping hand makes a difference. Let us know your interests, skills, and availability (remote/on-site), and we'll do our best to match you with opportunities that fit.
Because we are a small volunteer-led organization, submitting a volunteer application does not guarantee an immediate placement. Volunteer opportunities vary throughout the year, and we'll contact you when a role becomes available that matches your interests, skills, and availability.

PLEASE NOTE: If you require volunteer verification or a completion letter for school, court, or another program, a minimum of 48 volunteer hours is required, or the minimum required by your program—whichever is greater.
Small Groups & Corporate
Looking for a meaningful activity for your school, club, faith-based organization, or community group? We welcome groups interested in giving back through donation drives, community projects, or volunteer service days. Engage your team while making a meaningful impact in the community. We also welcome employee volunteer days, team-building service projects, and corporate engagement events.
Because of our limited space, larger groups may be scheduled around community events or off-site projects. We'll work with you to create an experience that fits your group's size and interests. Feel free to suggest an idea!

Volunteering with Angels For Action became one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. Teaching ESL classes and helping immigrants improve their English, prepare for citizenship, and build confidence was incredibly rewarding. Seeing students succeed and knowing I played a small part in their journey was something I'll always cherish.
Beyond volunteering, Carmen and Angels For Action also supported me personally by connecting me with a mentor who helped cover my books and transportation while I attended Kean University as a biology major. That support allowed me to continue my education, later transferring to Rutgers University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. I have since applied to a Doctor of Physical Therapy program and began working in the rehab and nursing unit at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. I truly wouldn't be where I am today without Carmen, Breda, and Angels For Action. Their compassion and dedication change lives.
